Do you wonder where to start when it comes to fraud in the the construction industry? Do you know what to look at with your invoices and vendors? This presentation will cover "What to look for” when looking for fraud, including where and how to look for it.
Michele is a Manager with Plante Moran’s Forensic Investigative Services group, specializing in providing forensic investigations, data analytics and internal control analyses. She has participated in interviews, performed financial analyses, conducted investigative research, and reviewed accounting records for investigations across a variety of industries.
Michele began her career with Plante Moran in the assurance practice where she spent her time focused on the healthcare industry. Her experience has provided her with an extensive knowledge of healthcare providers, including for-profit, not-for-profit and governmental entities. She has lead clients through audit engagements as well as client accounting service consulting engagements.
Michele received her bachelors of science in business administration with majors in accounting and Spanish for business from Central Michigan University. She is a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants.
Kyle Sutton, CPA, CFE
Manager, Forensic Accounting Services
Kyle is a Manager with Plante Moran’s Forensic Accounting Services Group. He has conducted interviews, implemented financial analyses, performed investigative research, and reviewed accounting records. He has analyzed data for insurance claims, litigation support, asset misappropriation investigations, and acquisitions. He is highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and data analytics software; in Microsoft’s 2016 Excel Championship competition, he placed in the Top 20 in the international group.
He gained valuable experience working as an auditor for Plante Moran’s Assurance Group, with an emphasis in the not-for-profit and healthcare industries. He received his Bachelor of Arts in accountancy from Hope College. He is a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants.
